Institute of Biomedical Chemistry (IBMC) concentrates 70 years of
expertise in molecular bioscience, specifically focused on proteins as
disease markers or drug targets. In 20-th century Institute
discovered Angiotensin Converting Enzyme (ACE) to provide the cure for
over 12 bln people suffering from high blood pressure.

Nowadays Institute is focused on bioinformatics and omics-technology to
contribute in international efforts for deciphering the Human Proteome.
Research areas of IBMC comprise structural and functional organization
of biological macromolecules, mechanisms of intermolecular recognition,
computer-aided drug design and devices for prevention of health risks.
